South Sea Pearl Store is a specialist supplier of loose pearls. We established the business after spending several years living in Jakarta as Australian expatriates between 2003 to 2009. During the time spent living in Jakarta, we attended many international loose pearls auctions being held around Asia. Locations for the international pearl auctions that we attended include countries such as Hong Kong, Indonesia and Japan.
South Sea Pearl Store was heavily involved in the wholesale jewelry trade while located in Jakarta. We regularly visited many pearl farms located around the Indonesian archipelago. Numerous acquaintances were made with some of the worlds main cultivators of south sea pearls. We visited Indonesian pearl farms on the islands of Alor, Lombok and Sumbawa. Also pearl farms in Japan were visited in Toba and Mikimoto regions along with pearl cultivators in the Philippines.
In the later part of 2009 we returned to Australia and established a specialized wholesale loose pearl distribution office located in Perth. South Sea Pearl Store continues to promote its Australian based business and have undertaken several successful advertising campaigns. We pride ourselves on customer service and have many regular satisfied customers from all over Australia and around the world.
South Sea Pearl Store has connected with several leading manufacturing jewelers around Australia and has been successfully supplying their pearl requirements for many years now. We also supply smaller jewelry craftsman and the general public who are directly purchasing the raw materials for their jewelry projects. The pearl grading system we use to describe our pearls is similar to what is used in international pearl auctions. This allows us to have consistency between how our pearls are graded compared with internationally recognized methods.
